生活型

形態特徵

Perennial subshrubs; stems woody at base, glabrous, erect or ascending, usually with galls on lower part of internodes.
Leaves subequally to unequally paired, membranaceous to chartaceous, glabrous, ovate, narrowly elliptic, widely elliptic to lanceolate, 4-22 cm long, 2-8.5 cm wide, apex acuminate to long acuminate, margins serrate to serrulate, base obtuse to rounded, 3-nerved; petioles 1-10 cm long; stipules connate at base, broadly triangular, veinless.
Inflorescences usually panicles of glomerules; male Inflorescences to 22 cm long, peduncles to 13 cm long; female Inflorescences to 16.5 cm long. Male flowers slightly laterally compressed, obovoid or obdeltoid; sepals 4, equal, connate about halfway, valvate, somewhat short corniculate. Sepals of female flowers 3, connate, one unequal; staminodes 3; ovary ovoid.
Achenes slightly tuberculate, laterally compressed, asymmetrical ovoid to widely ovoid.

分布

台灣 : ravines and shady, moist forest floors at medium altitudes throughout the island. Fertile plants do not found in March and June.
世界 : India, Sri Lanka, Java, Vietnam, and S. mainland China.
